The Hypocrite-in-Chief Speaks

The State of the Union is not as President Obama described it last night. The words coming out of Mr. Obama's mouth sounded, false, hollow, smug, and I have to say it, hypocritical. If we could believe the message of the speech last night, you would think this President was from the deepest red state in the Union. What with "tax cuts" (or tax credits) "for job creation, tax credits for new equipment purchases and the elimination of capital gains for small businesses" you would think this was a Republican President.

But his childish rebuke to the Supreme Court, the third branch of our Government, that they do not know what free speech is, after participating as a recipient of those same Free Speech "Rights" from the millions of dollars in campaign donations in 2008, is a sharp reminder of who this man is in his heart-of-hearts. He is a true Progressive, Radical Liberal who has little respect for the Supreme Court or the Constitution.

Remember he thinks the Constitution is a document of negative rights, telling us what the Federal Government can't do to us. He wants to put words into his interpretation of that document that aren't there. Health Care is the prime example of his notion of a "Right". He forgets we already have a Bill of Rights that has served us well for more than two Centuries.

How can the President say he supports the Military? It is one thing to have a "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy and another to have openly Gay men and women disrupting Military decorum with openly Gay agendas. This does not belong in the Military. The Armed Services of this Nation has always been the most level playing field for a color blind, tolerant society. Men and women fighting on America's battlefields aren't discussing whether they are Gay, Straight, Black, White or Brown. They are doing their jobs professionally. I wish I could say the same for this President.

He certainly doesn't understand the Military. His Administration is pressing ahead with the court marshals of the three Navy Seals who gave a Terrorist a bloody lip. (He actually used the correct term for his "overseas combatants"; Terrorist.) and is giving Constitutional rights to men who had the very worst intentions for America and Americans; they want us DEAD! The Christmas Day Bomber, A man sworn to jihad, is going to have more constitutional rights than these Navy Seals, our own American Heroes. He still won't say we're at war.

He also spent most of 2009 apologizing for Americas' "arrogance", when we, as the United States, have lost over 1,400,000 Americans since the beginning of this nation, fighting for the rights and liberties of nations all over this world. So now, he insists in his State of the Union Address, we must become the greatest country in the world? Doesn't he know that we are the greatest, freest, most innovative country in the world?

Obama's hypocrisy was never more apparent, than when he declared in his State of the Union, he wanted to "harnesses the power of clean, renewable energy that will lead the 21st century". And then stated...

"But to truly transform our economy, protect our security, and save our planet from the ravages of climate change, we need to ultimately make clean, renewable energy the profitable kind of energy. So I ask this Congress to send me legislation that places a market-based cap on carbon pollution" (Cap and Trade) "and drives the production of more renewable energy in America. And to support that innovation, we will invest fifteen billion dollars a year to develop technologies like wind power and solar power; advanced biofuels, clean coal, and more fuel-efficient cars and trucks built right here in America."

Notice Obama is changing the language again in his traditional Saul Alinsky way. Cap and Trade has become "a market-based cap on carbon pollution" He wants the worst of all possible worlds, Cap and Tax (Trade). He added that he wanted to explore off-shore drilling; this from a man who made clean-coal and off-shore drilling the bogyman of his election campaign.

And yet this Administration is letting China drill America's own oil reserves off the coast of Florida and then sell that oil back to us. He wants to shut down our energy producing coal plants. This will kill thousands of jobs or send these plants overseas to countries like China or India. They don't have the same restrictions or concerns with pollution that we do.

This is man who promised to "bankrupt anyone foolish enough to build coal-burning power plants" in January of 2008 and also admitted that his policies would make energy prices "skyrocket" as the energy industry would pass along the cost of Cap and Trade to consumers. American's can't afford his irresponsible political agenda on Energy.

I almost chocked on the statement, "I'm proud that we passed the recovery plan free of earmarks". How can this President who gave us the most earmark laden "Stimulus" Bill even utter those words? How can the President who arranged backroom deals with Senators to buy their votes with Billions of taxpayer's dollars retain any credibility?

How dare he brag about the two million jobs created by his Administration? We lost more than 3.5 Million jobs last year so that works out to negative 1.5 Million jobs created. Obama math is not logical. 2009 will go down in the record books as one of the worst years in our history, when more people lost their jobs, homes and livelihoods than ever before?

We need real common sense solutions to our problems. Oh, and he even used the phrase "common sense" in his speech. President Obama showed to the Left and the Right last night that he is indeed the Hypocrite-in-Chief. He pandered and perturbed both sides with his use of clinches' and attempt at hijacking traditionally Republican messages. He is no Moderate; he's a dyed-in-the-wool Progressive. He can't demand "accountability" from every American but himself. This is hypocrisy on display. He needs to hold himself accountable. The American People deserve nothing less.
